2008 Proposal Reviews
Proposal Review Service Available at AAGP Conference! - Monday, July 07, 2008

The American Association of Grant Professionals’ (AAGP) Individual Proposal Review service offers participants a 45-minute one-to-one session with a grant professional who will evaluate one of your proposals during the 10th Annual AAGP Conference in Long Beach, California (October 22-25, 2008). Individual Proposal Review sessions are designed to offer meaningful and constructive criticism from a veteran grant professional. AAGP member reviewers will evaluate your proposal before the conference and offer helpful feedback and critiques in writing and in person in an effort to strengthen your grant writing skills and improve your proposal. Every effort is made to match AAGP Proposal Reviewers with proposals based on their professional experience and areas of expertise. Proposals for review are due by September 24, 2008.   According to members who have used the service in the past, this review provides grant writers with valuable insight on techniques to achieve funding success.

AAGP is also seeking Individual Proposal Reviewers, who must be good-standing members of AAGP and, therefore, agree to adhere to the AAGP Code of Ethics. Reviewers must meet minimum qualifications including actively participating in the writing of grant proposals for a period of five or more years; having prepared, submitted and received grant awards for more than 50 proposals; and having acted as a compensated or volunteer reviewer for a nonprofit or governmental funding source within the past three years.

The 2008 Individual Proposal Review service fees are as follows: $25 for members and $75 for non-members. The fees collected by the Individual Proposal Review service go into an AAGP Foundation Scholarship Fund that provides registration and hotel accommodations to scholarship applicants wishing to attend the national AAGP Conference.

To volunteer as a Proposal Reviewer, contact Stacy Poncelow via email poncelow@psdschools.org or Danny W. Blitch, AAGP Foundation via email dblitch@roswellgov.com. Registration for the Proposal Review service is on your Conference registration form.  Visit:  www.grantprofessionals.org to register.
