Meeting Minutes

May 27, 2008

Present:   Amanda Day, Cathy Brown, David Bridges, Eden Freeman, Edward Jonas, Jennifer Allen, Kimberly Hays, Mac Sudduth, Nancy Smallwood, Sonja Fillingame, Tanikia Jackson

                New Faces: Michael Thomas, Soren Thomas, Angela El-Amin, Kama Walcott

Next meeting:   June 24, 2008 GCATT Building

II. New Business

1.   Jessica presented the meetings and they were passed unanimously.

2.   No State report/activity

3.   No Financial report given.

4.   GPCI Testing in August

a.    Registration is open through AAGP
b.   The date for the exam will be August 2nd.
c.   We will need to sign-up for planning committee (if interested talk to Jessica or Amanda)
d.   We will probably need at least 2-3 people here for sign-in in the morning
e.   Amanda will take the first stab at developing a flyer that we can send out to our different organizations/mailing lists.
f.   Directions for local lodging and restaruants
i.   Due to the construction issues with the 14th street bridge we will use the documentation that the GTRI conference center drafts.
g.   Dry-run through would probably be a good idea
i.   July 12 possibly?
h.   F3 personnel to set up lab on the Friday before
i.   Extra computer mouses might be a good idea to bring

5. It was brought up the possibility to take up a collection for the AAGP Foundation

a.   It was discussed that we could possibly make a donation from the chapter funds
b.   Another possibility would be to collect at meetings
c.   Another possibility would be to set out a “donation jar” during the testing.

6. Amanda Demoed the City of Alpharetta’s new grant-tracking/management system
