Greetings all!  Thanks for stopping by the Metro Atlanta Association of Grant Professionals (MAAGP) booth at Congressman Gingrey’s Grant Supermarket last Thursday.

I wanted to officially invite you to our next meeting, which will be Tuesday, September 23, at 10am.  We meet at the Georgia Tech Research Institute on 14^th Street in Atlanta.  You can find directions on our website at http://www.maagp.org.  Our September guest speaker is the Georgia Safe Routes to School Coordinator, who will be speaking about the federal funding available to local schools and governments for the implementation of the Safe Routes to Schools program.

Also, you will find on our website that there are a few “members only” sections on the webpage.  For the next 45 days, we’ve set up a guest login so you can check everything out.  User name and password forwarded under a separate email on 9-2-2008.

We encourage everyone to check out a meeting or two before joining our chapter.  While we are a great networking association, and do provide guest speakers and discussion amongst members in the different areas of the grant world, we are not beginning grant class. 

We welcome anyone involved in the grant field to check us out and join our chapter, but if you are looking for a grant writing class rather than a group like ours, there are a few I’ve attended that I can recommend ~ including the American Association of Grant Professionals National Conference this year in Long Beach, CA, at the end of October.
