Metro Atlanta Association of Grant Professionals Meeting Minutes June 26, 2007 Present: Paula Swartzberg, David Bridges, Amanda Day, Michael Surma, Edward Jones, Patricia Duboise, Jessica Pater, Mac Sudduth, Michelle Epstein, Vickie Scott, Danny Blitch, Lisa Wilson Next meeting: July 24, 2007; 10:00, GTRI I. Old Business - The minutes from the May meeting were unanimously accepted
II. New Business - Welcome to Lisa Wilson from the Boys and Girls Club!!!
- There was a long discussion about the Grant Certification Test
- Amanda had emailed AAGP about our questions from the May meeting regarding the test and the Marketing Director emailed her back extensive answers. Email Amanda for more information.
- Michael Well’s literature review, http://www.grantcredential.org/Portals/44/Public%20Files/GPCI%20Literature%20Review.pdf, is a good starting point for material that could be used for preparation of the test, but is not being recommended by the GPCI.
- There was a discussion about the benefits and lack of benefit for certain areas of the profession when it comes to being certified.
- It was decided to talk more at next month’s meeting and draft a collective letter from the organization to send to AAGP regarding the exam.
- Committees
- Everyone at the meeting organized into the committee they wanted to be on
- Everyone needs to submit a brief bio about them with contact information to Jessica so the committee chairs have the information they need about their committees.
